The shoe boxes for the ministry to the children in Mexico is due NEXT SUNDAY, NOV. 23RD.This is a simple way to get your family involved in giving this Christmas to those who otherwise may not have gifts, or more importantly, the message of the Gospel.  Many Christian youth bands are coming to the Concrete Street Amphitheater Saturday, November 22nd. Kutless, Pillar, Thousand Foot Crutch, KJ52, and more are playing in this Creaton Festival Tour. Tickets at a reduced price ($2-$7 off) are available here at the office during office hours or prior/post service times.

 This lunch is for anyone in our fellowship who are without family present this year! Come join us for food, fun and a lot of fellowship as we celebrate and give thanks to the Lord for all He has done for us. It will be a "Pot Faith" meal from 2-6 pm,Thurs., Nov. 27th here at the building. Sign ups are available at the info booth for a head count as well as for food to bring.

 There will be a blood drive held here Dec. 13th, 10 am- 3 pm (18yrs. +) for Amber. Blood and platelets can also be donated anytime at the Coastal Bend Blood Bank in Amber's name. SEE THE INFO BOOTH FOR A DETAILED ANNOUNCEMENT !!!!!!!

 Calvary Chapel Houston is again hosting our annual Women's Conference, this year entitiled "My Soul Magnifies The Lord", for all servants who are currently serving in any capacity in this fellowship. The dates and times are Fri., Dec. 12th, 7-9 pm (registration begins at 6 pm) and Sat., Dec. 13th, 9 am-4 pm with a light breakfast and lunch provided Saturday. Cost is  $45. MOM'S IN TOUCH INTERNATIONAL has a group meeting here Every Wed., 12:30-1:30 pm (nursery room). Come join us as we come together as Moms to pray the scriptures for our school-age children (college-age also !). Bring your Bibles and your prayers! 

Come join us as we lift up the church body and the concerns of our community in prayer every Sunday mornings, 8:30 am in Pastor Rod's office and Thursdays, 6 pm in the coffee shop. We have the privilege as God's people to lift up one another's burdens to the LORD ! We highly encourage ALL TO ATTEND !!!

If the Lord is leading you to serve in this Body of Believers, pray about the following areas that are in need of Servants: Parking Lot, Greeters, Ushers, Sound ministry, Video, Power Point and Solid Grounds Cafe on Sundays or Wednesday. The Children's ministry also needs servants (teachers and helpers) in many age groups as well as with making copies and bagging snacks. There are early sign ups available to the women for our FEBRUARY 20-22, 2009 WOMEN'S RETREAT. The cost this coming year will be $125 but we are now able to begin saving, Ladies! If you would like to make payment arrangements now, come by the church office during office hours or visit the info booth prior to/post service times.

Ladies, did you know we have a ministry to bless you and your family with dinner. If you have a baby, surgery, or illness, please call the church. Just give us your name, number, due date, surgery date or need. We will call you to set up your meals. Don't be shy, this ministry is here to bless you! >>>> Helping Hands Meal Ministry is in need of more servants. When there is a need we call you to bless a family with a nice home cooked meal. We do try to space out how often we call on you. If anyone would like to help in this ministry please sign up at the info center or see Olivia for more details.

 Exercise including cardio/step and tone/body sculpting is available at Calvary Chapel offered by Vicki Shaw, certified trainer.  Classes are scheduled twice a week, Mondays, noon-1 pm and Fridays at 8:15-9:15 am. Cost is $25/month to Vickie. Steps and bands are provided but bring your mats or towel, water bottle, and 2-3 lb. weights.  Come exercise/fellowship with us in a Chrisian environment with Christian music!  We will exercise our "Temple" of the Holy Spirit.
